The Peaceful Majority - Muslims?

I saw this essay circulating on the e-mails and in my opinion, it sums things up perfectly with regard to all the ass licking that goes on as the politically correct police tip toe around.


The Peaceful Majority

I used to know a man whose family was German aristocracy prior to World War Two. They owned a number of large industries and estates. I asked him how many German people were true Nazis, and the answer he gave has stuck with me and guided my attitude toward fanaticism ever since.

"Very few people were true Nazis "he said," but many enjoyed the return of German pride, and many more were too busy to care. I was one of those who just thought the Nazis were a bunch of fools. So, the majority just sat back and let it all happen. Then, before we knew it, they owned us, and we had lost control, and the end of the world had come. My family lost everything I ended up in a concentration camp and the Allies destroyed my factories."

We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history.

It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact is that the "peaceful majority" is the "silent majority" and it is cowed and extraneous.

Communist Russia comprised Russians who just wanted to live in peace, yet the Russian Communists were responsible for the murder of about 20 million people. The peaceful majority was irrelevant. China 's huge population was peaceful as well, but Chinese Communists managed to kill a staggering 70 million people.

The average Japanese individual prior to World War 2 was not a warmongering sadist. Yet, Japan murdered and slaughtered its way across South East Asia in an orgy of killing that included the systematic murder of 12 million Chinese civilians; most killed by sword, shovel, and bayonet. And, who can forget Rwanda, which collapsed into butchery. Could it not be said that the majority of Rwandans were "peace loving"?

History lessons are often incredibly simple and blunt, yet for all our powers of reason we often miss the most basic and uncomplicated of points:

Peace-loving Muslims have been made irrelevant by their silence.

Peace-loving Muslims will become our enemy if they don't speak up, because like my friend from Germany, they will awake one day and find that the fanatics own them, and the end of their world will have begun.

Peace-loving Germans, Japanese, Chinese, Russians, Rwandans, Serbs Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Somalis, Nigerians, Algerians, and many others have died because the peaceful majority did not speak up until it was too late.

As for us who watch it all unfold; we must pay attention to the only group that counts; the fanatics who threaten our way of life.
Lastly, I wish to add: At the risk of offending someone, I sincerely think that anyone who rejects this as just another political rant, or doubts the seriousness of this issue or just deletes it, is part of the problem. Let's quit laughing at and forwarding the jokes and cartoons which denigrate and ridicule our leaders in this war against terror. They are trying to protect the interests and well being of Canada and its citizens. Best we support the military and enable it to do it's job..

Environmental Footprint

I was impressed by Gore's "Inconvenient Truth" and I am a believer that we are going to be in big trouble if global warming is not slowed significantly. And I buy the line that mankind is mostly responsible and therefore only mankind can minimize the effects by a world wide concerted effort. So Gore, by not walking the talk, as evidenced by his big power consuming house, and in that I am disappointed but the message by him and hoards of scientists should not be airily dismissed because he is leaving a large so-called environmental footprint. He really should have realized that the American Republicans and other naysayers would jump on the smallest thing to discredit the message.

I live on the coast and I surely will see bad things happen in my area within my lifetime. I also feel bad for my children's generation for they will feel the brunt of the upcoming chaos if the predictions come true. Individuals may think it is out of their hands but if enough individuals world-wide, bitch slap the politicians to wake them up, then something concrete can be accomplished. My apologies if any feminists are perturbed at the use of that term 'bitch slap' but it resonates so well in this case.

So what did I do lately to lessen my environmental footprint?.
1. When I drove my 15 year old car to the junkyard, I did not follow up on my original plan to buy a new car. So we are down to 1 car for this household.
2. I added 6 inches of insulation to my attic and replaced all the windows and door plus added insulation to the outside walls.
3. I recycle as much as possible garbage wise though I am not green enough yet to compost(I plan to look into that).
4. I walk and bike a lot even when the lone car is available.
5. I lower the thermostats in my house every evening before bedtime(except the bedroom)
6. Replaced one of the toilets with a new more water conserving type.

Killer Drunk Driver Outrage

This is a direct quote from the NB blogger, Spink who nicely summarizes this latest judicial outrage

“Okay, this guy, Peter Leon Howe drinks 24 beers, half a bottle of whisky, jumps behind the wheel and ends up killing 23-year old Robbie MacRitchie who was on his bicycle in Fredericton and gets house arrest?!? Is it any wonder MADD determined last year that New Brunswick was the slackest province in the country when it came to drunk driving? Judge Graydon Nicholas sides with the criminal and not the victim or in this case, the victim’s family by saying, “Now mind you, people make mistakes.” A mistake? This guy got smashed and jumped behind the wheel of his car and took a young man’s life. It’s a poor, poor message Nicholas and the justice system in New Brunswick has sent out to the public regarding the consequences (or lack there of) of drinking and driving...again”

Pretty sad isn’t it? Now contrast the actions of this judge Knucklehead Nicholas to the actions of Judge Judy Glenndenning as relayed by this April 6 article in the Telegraph Journal:

“WOODSTOCK: A judge sentenced a Plaster Rock man to three and one-half years in prison Monday for a fatal car-pedestrian collision last fall. The RCMP charged Thomas Clyde Daye, 43, after the hit and run accident that killed Crystal Tapely, 31. Officers found her body on the side of the road early November 19. Court of Queen’s Bench Judy Glenndenning imposed the sentence in Woodstock and prohibited Daye from driving for life.”

Same province, very different outcomes. Way to go Judge Judy ! We need more women with balls like her.

Another but different kind of case, Judge Patricia Cumming sentenced a pervert pedophile (is there any other kind?) to a year in jail for counseling a father (actually an undercover officer) to abuse his 4 year old daughter. So this guy did not kill anybody but got a year in the slammer for urging a father to abuse his daughter and tell him the details later. However Judge Knucklehead Nicholas sees fit to release a killer drunk driver house arrest? Judge Patsy has balls unlike Nicholas. (Patsy was what we called her in high school –Bathurst High to be precise.)

So the big question is why the sentence handed down by Judge Knucklehead Nicholas is not being appealed by the crown?

Where is the justice?????????

Boozehounds - Rise Up -- Strike

The money grabbing, tax happy Liberals have:
1. Increased income taxes
2. Increased property taxes
3. Increased booze prices.
4. NB Power getting ready to ream us with double digit electrical rate increases

All while bailing out their political liberal cronies of the credit union management to the tune of $60 million of your taxpayers money.

Enough is enough. Strike!!!. Stop buying booze. Let them feel the power of the previously quietly suffering taxpayer. For those of you who cannot go cold turkey, at least cut your purchases by half. If necessary, make a run to Quebec with a van. If enough people do this, it will have an impact.

As for me personally, I will hold out as long as possible. I already make my own wine, I can always start making my own beer. To the barricades!!! Spread the word!!!!

God, I am so sick of the corruption of politics in this province, no matter what party is in power. Just heard that the Premier saw to it a company in his riding and who has his father on the board of directors, got a government grant. Something stinks there as well.
